Continuing a National Sporting Legacy
The Ambedkar National Games have a long-standing history of bringing athletes together under the values of “Sports for Equality and Empowerment.” The inaugural edition was held in 2013 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, and subsequent editions expanded participation and sporting disciplines across India.
The 6th edition, held in 2024 at Talkatora Stadium, brought together athletes from 25 States and Union Territories, demonstrating the event’s growing national reach.
The 8th Edition in 2026 is planned as another important chapter in this continuing journey.
Bringing Athletes Together from Across India
The 2026 Games will provide athletes with an opportunity to compete at a national platform, gain valuable competitive experience, meet fellow sportspersons, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
The organizers aim to create an environment where talent, hard work, discipline, fair play, and mutual respect remain at the heart of competition.
Message of Unity Through Sports
Inspired by the ideals of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the National Games seek to use sport as a powerful means of building confidence, equality, social harmony, and opportunities for young people.
The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Sports Foundation works toward building a culture of unity, inclusion, and empowerment through sports and physical activity.
The 8th Edition of the Ambedkar National Games 2026 will therefore be more than a sporting competition—it will be a national celebration of talent, determination, diversity, and the unifying power of sport.
