National Self-Defense Mission (NSDM)
A Social
Initiative for Promoting Self-Defense Activities through Education, Training,
Research, and Publication in Martial Arts
The National
Self-Defense Mission (NSDM) has been initiated under the auspices of the National
Martial Arts Academy (NMAA) in collaboration with the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
Sports Foundation (an organization in Special Consultative Status with
the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2021).
Leadership Appointment:
✅ Mrs. Soni
Bharat has been appointed as the First National Coordinator of NSDM
for India.
✅ Credentials:
- Black Belt holder and AIKF
National Gold Medalist (2010–2012).
- Council Member of the National Martial Arts
Academy India.
- President of the Traditional Sports and
Games Federation India (TSGFI).
Target Areas of NSDM:
- Educational Institutions:
- Private and Government Schools,
Colleges, and Institutions.
- Specific Focus Groups:
- Primary School Girls (5–12 years
old) –
Building basic self-defense awareness and confidence.
- Secondary School and College
Girls (12–18 years old) – Enhancing advanced self-defense techniques and empowering
young girls.
- College/University Girls (18
years and older) – Preparing young women with practical
self-defense skills for real-world situations.
- Women from Various Sectors:
- Working Women of
Corporate/Companies (All Age Groups) – Ensuring safety and
preparedness in professional environments.
- Government Employees (Women of
All Ages) –
Equipping government employees with necessary self-defense skills.
- Housewives and Women from
Different Communities:
- Housewives from Urban Societies
and Sectors in Cities (All Age Groups) – Promoting self-defense
awareness in urban communities.
- Housewives from Rural Areas and
Villages (All Age Groups) – Extending self-defense knowledge to rural
communities to ensure widespread safety and empowerment.
Mission Objective:
The NSDM aims
to empower women across all segments of society by providing them with
essential self-defense skills, thereby promoting safety, confidence, and
self-reliance.
